Services of surface treatment of wire and wire rod
The processes of wire rod surface preparation are carried out on automated tub-and-tunnel line, manufactured by ÖSKO and VOEST –ALPINE INDUSTRIEANLAGENBAU (VAI)
Types of services:
- Pickling and coating with lime as a carrier
Removing oxide layers from the wire rod surface during pickling process and application of calcium hydroxide acting as a carrier allows for further plastic cold processing of low-carbon steel and medium-carbon steel.
- Pickling and coating with zinc phosphate as a carrier
Phosphate coating facilitates drawing of medium-carbon steel and high-carbon steel , as well as allows for intensification of plastic cold processing of low-carbon steel.
- Pickling, phosphating and coating with reactive soap as a carrier
Pickled, phosphated and soaped coils are used in deep drawing or extrusion processes (production of screws or other connecting elements). The zinc stearate, a result of reaction between zinc phosphate and reactive soap, creates a separating layer between the tool and the detail, thus decreases friction factor, reduces wearing of the tools and allows for increase of operation speed rate.
Charge dimensions:
- Max. charge weight - 3000 kg
- Wire rod coils of max. external diameter 1250 mm
